West got braces this week. She’s doing fine with them (they hurt the first couple of days or so).
Hers have little springs across the places where teeth that are still growing in need to fit, to make enough room for them.
Ben’s braces closed up the gap in his front teeth in a matter of hours and then (not surprisingly) his front teeth hurt for quite a while.
The dentist said these are the latest in braces technology – they’re quicker than the older ones and should only need to be on 15-18 months.
