Ben and Esther are playing in a violin recital this afternoon. Ben’s playing the 2nd and 3rd movement of the Bruch violin concerto (no 1) and Esther’s playing the last movement of the Kabalevsky violin concerto.

The Chicago Symphony Orchestra has a new series of narrated concerts called “Beyond the Score”. We went to one yesterday. The music featured in it was Mozart’s last piano concerto, K. 595.
