Ben and Esther played in a violin recital on Saturday. Esther played the 3rd movement of the Korngold Violin Concerto and Ben played the 1st movement of the Tchaikowsky Violin Concerto. The Windy City String Ensemble’s Spring Concert was yesterday. Nine members of the WCSE, including Ben and Esther, played Brandenburg Concerto no. 3 by Bach. The second movement cadenza (which begins at around 6:15) was written by Ben. Click image below to watch the video. Download Brandenburg
Yesterday Esther played Meditation from Thais by Massenet at her violin teacher’s recital. Ben accompanied her on the piano. Esther only started playing it a few weeks ago but her teacher was happy that she was ready to play yesterday. Click image below to watch the video. Download Thais
