Ben enjoyed being away for a few days in Peoria for the All State Honors Orchestra very much. A number of students from his school qualified to go. He spent time with them in between rehearsals. We drove down on Saturday to hear the concert. The orchestra was very impressive – it was the best student orchestra I’ve ever heard.
Here’s a video excerpt of the orchestra playing most of Candide by Bernstein (I missed the beginning). Ben is the violinist furthest on the left (outside player of the sixth stand of first violins).
