Esther’s school chamber music concert was on Thursday. This is a student-led volunteer concert, with singing, solo instruments, classical and jazz small group ensembles and rock bands.
Esther was part of a string quartet playing an arrangement of the William Tell Overture by Rossini. Here’s a video of it (Esther is in front on the left)
Ben enjoyed being away for a few days in Peoria for the All State Honors Orchestra very much. A number of students from his school qualified to go. He spent time with them in between rehearsals. We drove down on Saturday to hear the concert. The orchestra was very impressive – it was the best student orchestra I’ve ever heard.
