Update on Crohn’s

On Monday I told my doctor I’m continuing to have symptoms. Mostly they’re in the category of “inconvenient and mildly painful” rather than, they significantly change what I’m able to do during each day. I’m glad about that.
Last month my doctor talked to me about other medication options after a test showed disease that the current meds evidently weren’t helping with. In view of how I’m doing she suggested changing meds now. She started me on Entocort and sent me for a blood test to check I can take Imuran. I’ll start that when the results come back assuming I’m not in the 0.3% of people who can’t metabolize it.
I’m going to have a colonoscopy next Tuesday so she can see the extent of the disease for herself. I had one last fall but I was seeing a different doctor then.
