Steve is flying back from Paris today. He leaves shortly – his plane is showing as ‘on time’ which is a relief, given that the weather has been somewhat uncertain the last day or so.
Ben’s state mathcounts competition is tomorrow (Saturday). Esther is playing the Bartok Roumanian Dances in a violin recital Saturday afternoon.
On Sunday both Ben and Esther are playing a movement of a piano concerto in a piano recital. Ben’s playing the 1st movement of Beethoven’s 1st; Esther is playing the 1st movement of Haydn’s Concerto in C major. Their piano teacher is accompanying them. The recital is in a hall with two pianos side by side and everyone playing in it is playing a piano duet or quarter or concerto movement.
