The year-end concert of the string ensemble in which Ben, Esther and I play violin is tonight. Here’s the announcement in the local newspaper:
Windy City String Ensemble, conducted by Michael Hining, will present its winter concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 22 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 611 Randolph St., Oak Park. The program will include the Haydn Cello Concerto in C Major featuring soloist Ellie Anderson, and the Lalo Cello Concerto in d Minor featuring soloist Trevor Kazarian. Also on the program will be the Finale from Mahler’s Symphony #3, featuring the Suzuki Ensemble, “Winter” from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons with soloist Sunita Suresh, and Mahler’s Adagietto from Symphony #5.
