The violin recital went very well today. As well as Ben and Esther playing their own pieces, Ben was asked yesterday if he’d accompany a student playing the first movement of the Bach Double Violin Concerto. Their teacher was supposed to accompany her but he’s been having back trouble so he asked Ben to step in. Ben agreed and did very well considering he had less than 24 hours to prepare and he’d never played the piece before.
Here are camera video recordings of Ben playing the last movement of the Tschaikovsky Violin Concerto and Esther playing the last movement of the Beethoven Violin Concerto (these are the same pieces they played last week at Looptopia).
